My approach

At Brain and Bloom, I believe healing happens through connection, compassion, and evidence-based care.

I take a whole-person, collaborative approach to mental health. That means we’ll look not only at your symptoms, but also at the context of your life — your stressors, strengths, history, environment, and goals.

Whenever possible, I aim to understand the full picture before introducing medication. That includes ruling out underlying medical causes like thyroid dysfunction, vitamin deficiencies, or sleep apnea when symptoms suggest it. Simple lab work or further screening can often provide important insight that supports more precise, effective treatment.

I’m also a strong believer in using the least amount of medication — and only when it’s truly needed. My goal is never to over-medicate, but rather to find just the right support to help you feel more like yourself, with the fewest side effects possible.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, mood changes, ADHD, or the unique challenges of pregnancy and postpartum, my role is to listen without judgment, support you with practical tools and evidence-based strategies, and empower you toward healing.

As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with certification in perinatal mental health, I tailor care plans using a blend of clinical knowledge and deep empathy, always considering your preferences and values. You’re the expert on your life — I’m here to walk beside you.

Together, we’ll create space for healing and growth — so you can bloom, even in the hard seasons.
